Our Belief on Marriage

We believe that marriage is a gift from God. God created marriage when he created Eve to be a helper and companion to Adam in the Garden of Eden. God uses this blessing to illustrate the relationship between God and the church. Christ is the head of the church. He gave himself up for her. The husband is to be the head of the marriage and to love his wife. The wife is to love and submit to her husband, just as the church loves and submits to Christ. We can not love in this way on our own. We build on the rock of Christ. With His love, strength, and forgiveness, we put Him first and seek to daily love each other.
